Two Manchester United youngsters to depart on loan next season
Manchester United youngsters Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri look set to complete loan moves in the summer.Β
Elanga, 20, and Pellistri, 21, have been utilised sparingly this season under Erik ten Hag and according to MEN, the pair will be sent on loan for the 2023/2024 campaign.
Sweden international Elanga has made 23 appearances, returning two assists. He has started seven games and featured in 16 as a substitute. The form of Marcus Rashford on the left wing has kept the academy graduate out of action and when he has played, he has failed to make an impact on the pitch.
He is yet to complete a loan spell and would gain valuable experience and game time, hopefully in Europe still. Elanga was linked with an exit last summer and Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund were interested in acquiring the young forward, as well as PSV.
Pellistri to go on third loan move
On the other hand, Pellistri has been sent on two loan spells, both to Spanish side Deportivo Alaves, before being kept at Old Trafford this term. He has made six appearances, all of which came as a substitute, and picked up one assist.
In his short cameos, the Uruguayan has looked promising and will certainly benefit from regular minutes on the pitch in a first-team setup.
