Sofyan Amrabat makes determined promise to Manchester United fans in first interview

Sofyan Amrabat has delivered an interview that will be music to Manchester United fans’ ears as he awaits his maiden outing for the club.

The midfielder completed a deadline-day loan switch from Fiorentina last week after spending the whole summer awaiting an approach from the Red Devils. On the final day of the window, they delivered.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t registered in time to face Arsenal last Sunday and so will make his debut following the international break – it’ll most likely come when United face Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford on September 16.

Fans are eager to see their new man in action, and he’s no doubt looking forward to pulling on the shirt of the 20-time English champions.

Amrabat speaks out

Amrabat vowed to give his all from the moment he steps onto the pitch and believes he will continue to excel under Erik ten Hag, whom he played under at Utrecht.

He told club media (via ManUtd.com): β€œIt was very important because I was very young. I was 18, 19 years old and he [Ten Hag] gave me the chance to play in the first team with Utrecht.Β We had a fantastic time, a really good season. I learned a lot from him.Β So maybe he’s one of the most important people in my career for now.

β€œIt’s fantastic because I think Erik ten Hag is a coach who will push always to the limit,” he added. β€œHe’s hungry. He wants to win. He’s a winner and I like that. I think I’m also similar, I’m also a winner. I want to win every day so it’s a good match.”

Regarding his play style, the Moroccan kept tight-lipped.

β€œI don’t like to speak about myself, I want to show it on the pitch, but I can promise that I will give my best with everything; every day, every minute, every second. So, it is the only thing that I can say now.”
