Video: Kobbie Mainoo scores first-ever senior goal to double United’s lead inside 13 minutes vs Newport County

Manchester United lead Newport County 2-0 in the sides’ fourth-round FA Cup tie at Rodney Parade.

Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in just the seventh minute to break the deadlock early on against the League Two opposition.

Six minutes later, Kobbie Mainoo registered his first-ever senior goal for United with a sublime first-time finish into the bottom left corner; assisted by Diogo Dalot.

It marks a huge personal milestone for the 18-year-old starlet and it couldn’t be more deserved after his scintillating start to his breakout campaign.
