Amorim has just told INEOS his transfer plans for one of ‘Europe’s most dangerous players’; PSG want him

Despite putting pen to paper on a five-year contract extension last summer, Marcus Rashford faces something of an uncertain future at Old Trafford.

The Manchester United graduate’s situation has always been a slightly puzzling one, given that he frequently makes the headlines over his teammates for such minuscule topics. More recently, he faced criticism for attending a basketball game in America over the international break, with Gary Neville even chiming in to add to the pile-on by chastising his decision.

As such, you couldn’t really blame Rashford for wanting a fresh start elsewhere, and, at times, fans have questioned whether it would best suit the club as well.

He has struggled to reignite the prolific version of himself we witnessed in 2022/2023, during which he oversaw a career-best 30-goal campaign. Rashford was deservedly named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year upon the culmination of the term but has since looked a shadow of the unstoppable goalscorer in the subsequent seasons.

His somewhat stagnant form hasn’t deterred outside interest, though. Reports circulated this week claiming that the forward’s longtime admirers, Paris Saint-Germain, were ready to revive their pursuit as early as the winter window.

With money no obstacle for the state-owned club and Luis Enrique left dissatisfied with Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos’ performances, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that a deal could’ve come to fruition if United’s demands were met.

Yet, new head coach Ruben Amorim has reportedly been quick to shut down the prospect behind the scenes. According to CaughtOffside, he’s made it clear that Rashford, whom Xavi once hailed as one of ‘Europe’s most dangerous players’, cannot be sold under any circumstances in January.

Amorim deployed the 27-year-old from the offset against Ipswich Town last Sunday, overlooking both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee to give Rashford the opportunity to lead the line. Of course, his faith was almost instantly repaid when the attacker opened the scoring inside two minutes at Portman Road.
