Barcelona defender hails Marcus Rashford ahead of Europa League clash
Barcelona star Andreas Christiansen is one of the defenders who will be tasked with playing against in-form Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on Thursday.
In the lead up to the game, reports in Spain have stated that Xavi has a plan to keep Marcus Rashford quiet which is something nobody in the Premier League has been able to do since the World Cup ended.
We all hope that Xavi’s plan jumps up to slap the Barcelona manager in the face. Rashford has 21 goals to his name this season and it would be great to see him add to his tally at the Camp Nou.
Barcelona defender Andreas Christiansen already knows what it is like to play against Rashford, having played against him during his time at Chelsea, although not when he’s in this type of form.
In 2022, the Denmark international joined Barcelona and has gone on to form a formidable defensive partnership with Ronald Araujo.
Speaking about Rashford ahead of the match on Thursday, Christiansen said (via Manchester Evening News): “He’s in great shape at the moment. I like him a lot, I love the way he plays. He’s a direct, dangerous and powerful player.”
It doesn’t come as a surprise to us that Rashford is dominating the headlines in Catalonia. Former United striker Louis Saha recently stressed that he’s the best player in the Premier League right now.
