Cristian Romero names Manchester United star among being two centre-backs in Premier League

Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero has named the two best centre-backs in the Premier League.

The Argentine shared his opinion on who are the best two centre-backs in the Premier League and he included fellow countryman Lisandro Martinez.

Martinez joined Manchester United from Ajax in the summer and has been an instant hit in defence.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Romero named Martinez alongside Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk as the two finest defenders in the league.

“Today, the best defender for me is Virgil van Dijk always, and Lisandro Martinez from Manchester United. For me, they are the best in the Premier League.”

Martinez and Varane have been solid at the back for United

Raphael Varane is probably that one player United fans fear the most when it comes to injuries this season. His first season at the club was hindered by knocks and niggles, but this season it looks like he has found his ideal partner in Martinez.
