Danny Welbeck out for revenge against Manchester United on Thursday night

Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck faces his former club again this week. Brighton will be looking to β€œput things right” after losing to the Reds in the FA Cup semi-final in April.

The semi-final went to penalties as United won 7-6 in the shootout. All of United’s penalty takers scored but it was Victor Lindelof, who bagged the winning spot kick after Brighton’s Solly March sent his effort over the bar.

As a result, we’ll face Manchester City in the FA Cup final on June 3.

Brighton’s focus has turned to trying to secure European football for next season.

Welbeck claims they will do everything possible to get revenge for the FA Cup heartbreak.

β€œI am looking forward to Thursday,” Welbeck told Brighton’s official website. β€œThey have got some amazing players, so you’ve got to be ready at all times when you play them.

β€œWe will prepare the same way and we’ll try and put things right in front of our fans.”

United can’t underestimate Brighton on Thursday night because they’ve been on an amazing run this season. Ten Hag will be trying to secure a top four finish as soon as possible and he will demand a performance of high standards.

Sadly, our away form has not been the best this season and that needs to be addressed next season if we want to challenge for the Premier League title.
