De Gea dedicates Leicester City heroic save to his grandmother
David de Gea says his incredible save to prevent a James Maddison free kick against Leicester City was dedicate to his late grandmother.
The Spaniard jumped high to slap away the set piece effort early in the second half and Manchester United went on to win 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.
De Gea took to Twitter after the game, writing: βThis save and the victory is for you grandma. Keep watching me flying wherever you are.β

Unitedβs number one hadnβt spoken publicly about his grandmotherβs passing before now, so we would like to send our condolences to De Gea and his family at such a difficult time.
Questions have been asked of De Gea this season because Ten Hagβs football tends to require a goalkeeper who is comfortable playing out from the back.
Thatβs why I found it interesting that De Gea went long with so many of his passes against Southampton and Leicester City β in attempt to beat the press.
De Gea now has 133 clean sheets in the Premier League β more than any other United keeper. He will be aiming to do the same on Sunday versus Arsenal when the Reds look to make it four wins on the bounce.
