Erik ten Hag previews Luton contest as Manchester United chase back-to-back league wins

Manchester United are preparing to welcome Luton Town to Old Trafford on Saturday for the first-ever Premier League meeting between the two sides.

The Red Devils return to league action in hopes of making up for their midweek woes of sustaining a third Champions League defeat, which left them rock bottom of Group A.

Now, attention turns back to domestic matters, with United looking to seal back-to-back wins after last week’s crucial victory at Craven Cottage. The three points moved them to eighth place, though there is still a six-point gap that separates the Reds and fourth-placed Arsenal.

On the other hand, Luton will be thankful to be sat outside the bottom three and on the back of a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Liverpool. That result along with United’s current form will certainly have Rob Edwards’ side arriving in M16 with a spring in their step and belief across the squad.

Former Reds Tahith Chong and Teden Mengi, both Carrington graduates, will also be back at Old Trafford for the first time since their respective exits.

Ten Hag previews Hatters clash

Ahead of the outing, Ten Hag was asked his thoughts on the Hatters. He replied (via ManUtd.com):Β β€œI think they have had some more good performances and results, so we are fully aware of that. In the Premier League, there are no easy games and you have to play at your best and your highest levels in every game. So we are fully aware of it and we have to be 100 per cent fully focused on it in the game to win that game.”
