Former Manchester United manager puts Β£3.5m home up for sale
Sir Alex Ferguson has put his Β£3.5m home up for sale following the death of his wife Cathy.
The property in Wilmslow, Cheshire, has been listed for sale, as per The Mirror. One of the rooms features a tartan carpet to show that Ferguson never forgot his roots during his time in Manchester.
Estate agents say: βThis impressive, deceptively spacious detached isβ¦ positioned within a very private, gated and secure plot. It boasts approximately 7,000 sq ft.β
In addition to the five bedrooms, there are six bathrooms and a dedicated games room. It also includes a gym and a private bar, with four reception rooms to enjoy a couple of beverages.
Pictures online show a five-bed house full of family photos and memories of the great Sir Alex Fergusonβs life, and he is seemingly set to move to pastures new.
The news comes a month after Fergusonβs wife, Cathy, passed away β leaving her husband, three sons, two sisters, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Last week Ferguson joked that his late wife βwouldβve gone madβ after he spent Β£650,000 on two racehorses.
Although, that was before one of his horses won the Behrain International Trophy.
