Gary Lineker waxes lyrical over โ€˜prodigiousโ€™ Manchester United starlet after winner against Wolves

England legend Gary Lineker was full of praise for Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo after his match-winning performance against Wolves on Thursday night.

The Reds took three points at Molineux Stadium following a dramatic encounter, but it was the 18-year-old who scored the winner in stoppage time in a seven goal thriller.

Mainoo glided through Wolvesโ€™ defence before curling home his effort.

It was Mainooโ€™s first goal in the Premier League, and it came at the right moment for his boyhood club.

Taking to X after Mainoo scored the winner, Gary Lineker waxed lyrical at the youngsterโ€™s brilliance.

Mainoo is enjoying his football for United and seems to be taking every opportunity with two hands.

With goals in back-to-back games, the youngster is sending a warning to the Premier League that there is a new kid in town.

Mainoo has been growing into the team since Casemiroโ€™s injury earlier this season. Now, with the Brazilian fit, we are watching both players build on their chemistry in the middle of the pitch.
