Juan Mata finalising transfer to Galatasaray after leaving Manchester United

Juan Mata is on the verge of joining a new club following his Manchester United exit this summer.

The 34-year-old playmaker left the club upon the expiration of his contract after spending over eight years at Old Trafford, but he is nearing on a move to Turkey as a free agent.

Galatasaray are in talks with Mata and they’ve already released a statement on the matter, which read: “Official negotiations have started with the football player regarding the transfer of professional football player Juan Manuel Mata Garcia to our club.”

The Turkish transfer window closes on Thursday and Galatasaray are still being linked with moves for Mauro Icardi, Milot Rashica and Caglar Soyuncu.
