Leeds caretaker manager addresses βexcitingβ prospect of facing Manchester United
Leeds United co-caretaker manager Michael Skubala has weighed in on the forthcoming challenge of facing Manchester United.Β
The Leeds board opted to sack Jesse Marsch on Monday following a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest that left the side in 17th place. The Whites have been in and out of the bottom three throughout the first half of the campaign and now must tackle back-to-back fixtures against longtime rivals Manchester United, whom they are winless against since their return to the top flight.
The first clash of the double-header comes at Old Trafford tomorrow evening in an 8pm kick-off. Erik ten Hagβs side are on an outstanding run of 13 consecutive wins on home turf, and they will be keen to extend it against their rivals. United sit in third place and have been in scintillating form in recent months.

Former United coach Chris Armas will be in the away dugout along with Skubala, as well as Paco Gallardo.
Speaking via Football Daily, Skubala addressed the forthcoming game in M16, in which the Reds are the major favourites. He said: βI would say an exciting prospect, itβs Manchester United.
βI donβt think any of us need to get players [hyped] up for Manchester United at Old Trafford, but I think itβs more of an exciting prospect and weβll just do the best job we can do really. Not daunting but exciting, I would say.β
