Manchester United fans hail Martial after impressive display in 4-2 win over Aston Villa

Manchester United fans were delighted to see Anthony Martial back in the starting eleven on Thursday night as he issued a quick fire response after his side went a goal down to Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.

Ollie Watkins put the visitors ahead three minutes after the interval, although United responded brilliantly just 19 seconds after the restart as Martial scored his fourth goal of the season.

It was Martial’s first start since coming off in last month’s 2-1 win over Everton and he has missed 16 matches due to three separate injuries this season, hence why United appear to be misfiring in the striking department this season.

Keep Martial fit and we’ll have less issues.

United fans recognised the Frenchman’s impact amid his omission from the France squad for the World Cup. Check out some of the best tweets below:

Can we please keep Martial fit. Goals and Assists in abundance when he plays.

This Martial is my favourite Martial. The difference in this team if we could only keep him fit would be monumental.

Wrap Martial up in cotton wool. Contributes every time he’s on the pitch. Need him after the World Cup.
