Napoli star’s agent admits Manchester United interest but denies deal is done

Napoli defender Kim Min-jae has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.

A report earlier today from The Mirror stated that Kim Min-jae has already decided he wants to join Manchester United in the summer. Italian outlet Il Mattino backed up these claims by saying Kim has already said β€˜yes’ to moving to Old Trafford.

It is believed that the South Korean international has a €50 million (Β£43m) release clause and United could look to snap him up after his standout Sean as Napoli won their first Serie A title in 33-years.

Speaking to Star News Korea (H/t The Sun), a member of Kim’s entourage denied any truth in rumours suggesting their client is close to a move to United. They also admitted that United have been interested in Kim since he was playing in China.

β€œIt is not true that a deal has been done with Manchester United,” Kim’s agent told said.

β€œKim is concentrated on seeing out the season, besides which we still don’t know which English clubs will qualify for the Champions League next term.”

United need to win two of their remaining three league matches to secure a place in the Champions League next season.

β€œThere is no rush for the future. United were interested in him when he was still in China, but we only ever chatted about that. I repeat, there has been no concrete contact. In any case he has to enrol for military service in June.”
