Pep Guardiola issues dismissive response to Manchester United winger
Manchester is red and there’s nothing a passive aggressive Pep Guardiola can do about it.
Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri took a swipe at Man City for having less fans in than United in the city centre.
The Uruguayan winger talked about only seeing red shirts when he visits the city centre.
Speaking to Uruguayan radio station Carve Deportiva, Pellistri said: “Manchester is all about United. You don’t see City shirts or flags. Sometimes, with my girlfriend, we go out and say ‘let’s try to find one’ and we don’t see them.”
Guardiola, in his usual passive aggressive tone, responded dismissively to the suggestions.
The City manager said (via GOAL): “I will speak with the department and ask what happened. It’s ok. If this guy and his girlfriend believe that, it’s fine.”
City visit Old Trafford as favourites but they’ve not reached their highest levels yet this season. The same can be said for United, who are six points adrift of their neighbours.
After such a slow start to the season, United need a big result. This weekend would be a very good time to get one.
