Predicted Manchester United XI vs Bayern Munich: 4-2-3-1 – Amrabat & McTominay remain, Evans returns
Manchester United face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford on Tuesday night in a do or die attempt to reach the last 16 of the competition.
The Reds currently sit fourth place in Group A knowing that a victory over Bayern Munich and a draw between the other two teams – FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray – which promises to be another intriguing encounter tomorrow night.
United have a number of problems going into the game, including their form which has been abysmal in Europe this season, but we must also take the recent warning from Thomas Tuchel after their 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag will hope that he can put together a defence that can keep out Harry Kane and co. The Dutchman confirmed that Victor Lindelof remains a doubt at Monday’s press conference.
We had a similarly shameful result to Bayern over the weekend, losing 3-0 to Bournemouth, so I don’t feel we are in a position to take any positive from the champions of Germany going through a grey patch.
Predicted Manchester United XI vs Bayern Munich
Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Evans, Shaw;
Antony, Fernandes, Garnacho;
Onana has had a lot of blunders in Europe this season but he needs to avoid any on Tuesday night. The same applies to our defence and I don’t think I can trust that department up against Harry Kane.
In midfield, we’re lacking guidance and a lot more. The sooner Casemiro, Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen are back fit the better.
The attack picks itself right now and, yes, that means Marcus Rashford misses out again.
