Real Madrid join race for Ajax star linked with Manchester United switch
Real Madrid have joined the race to sign Manchester United target Mohammed Kudus.
The Ajax starlet has been pulling up trees in the Eredivisie this season and some reports have suggested that Erik ten Hag may take a look at signing another hot prospect from his former club.
Kudus, 22, has scored 18 goals and registered a further five assists for Ajax this season. Itβs enough to explain why he is being linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe so early on in his career.
According to Defensa Central, Kudus is one of the players being watched by Real Madrid, and they believe the Spanish giants hold a firm interest in the youngster.
This means it wonβt be easy for United to approach Ajax, pay over the odds and simply get their man. Ten Hag may have to fight off interest from Real Madrid on top of that.
The Ghanaian attacker would be a good addition for any top side, but he most go to a club where he will get enough time on the pitch to develop. That may not happen at Madrid and itβs getting harder to cement a place in the United side since Ten Hag came in.
Kudus has the ability to play in a variety of attacking positions, which may explain why Ten Hag would want to sign him in the summer.
