Romano: Juventus contact Manchester United to explore conditions of deal for exiled attacker
Juventus have contacted Manchester United over a potential deal for outcast attacker Jadon Sancho, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The winger is expected to leave Old Trafford this winter after the widely-covered feud between himself and Erik ten Hag; back in September, the manager had stated that Sanchoβs omittance from the matchday squad to face Arsenal was due to his performances in training not being up to scratch. Sancho then took to X, formerly Twitter, to rebuff these claims, labelling them lies and himself, a scapegoat.
Since then, the 23-year-old has been exiled from all first-team action and facilities after refusing to apologise for his statement. Should he leave in January, itβll mark four months since the Β£73 million signing stepped foot on the pitch.
United are well aware that a move now would mean they need to cut their losses considerably with Sancho, as no club would pay even close to what they did in the summer of 2021 β especially given his lacklustre output since making the switch from Germany to England.
Juventus exploring Sancho loan
Romano claims that Juventus are looking to explore a loan deal in the New Year that sees United cover part of the playerβs salary, however, the Red Devils are waiting to see if any permanent offers come in.
Sancho will also be heavily pursued by Saudi Pro League clubs in January, though he did decline an approach from Steven Gerrardβs Al-Ettifaq in the summer, so it remains to be seen if his mind would have changed this time around.
