The three United players in contention for final Player of the Month award

Manchester United have announced the nominees for the final Player of the Month award.

United’s season ended on disheartening terms after losing the FA Cup final to Manchester City, but it shouldn’t take away the fact that overall, it’s been a resounding success.

Marcus Rashford was named the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year and the Players’ POTY, as he oversaw the most prolific campaign of his career so far.

It was certainly a difficult choice for the Old Trafford faithful to choose just one player though, as so many have outdone themselves time after time this term.

Supporters won’t be surprised to see the Reds nominated for the May & June award, and fans can cast their vote by clicking here.

May & June POTM nominees

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

The defender looks completely revitalised under Erik ten Hag and has maybe even become the manager’s first choice at right-back. His one-on-one tackling is second to none in the Premier League and his passing, build-up play and attacking threat have improved tenfold.

Casemiro

Instant impact signings are often hard to come by, but Casemiro has proven to be exactly that. The stability he provides makes the team an entirely stronger and more dominant unit when he’s on the pitch and when he’s not, it’s very noticeable. He’s even provided the goals when needed too, so it begs the question, is there anything this man can’t do?

Bruno Fernandes

After a slow start to the campaign by his standards, Fernandes ended the season with 14 goals and 15 assists.Β With a proper striker leading the line after the summer, he’ll be relishing in the opportunity to keep his tallies high again, though even aside from the numbers, what he brings to United is simply irreplaceable.
