โTime to move forwardโ โ Manchester United legend explains what Sancho needs to do to succeed
Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole believes Jadon Sancho can get back on track at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old was frozen out of the squad last season by Erik ten Hag due to disciplinary issues. Sancho called the manager a liar on social media, which eventually led to a spat and he joined Borussia Dortmund on loan in January.
Sancho returned to United this summer and needs to work his way back into Ten Hagโs plans. The manager claims theyโve built a bridge and got over it!
Speaking ahead of the 2024/25 season, Cole says both the player and manager can move forward as long as Sancho relies on his talent and work ethic.
โI think Sancho has looked okay in pre-season,โ Cole told Betfred, as quoted by DAZN. โIt looks as if heโs got his confidence back and heโs a talented kid, regardless of whether thatโs him playing as a false nine or not.
โAll heโs got to do now is get his head down and let his feet do the talking. It looks as if he and the manager have resolved the problems they had last season and everybodyโs got to crack on. Itโs a clean slate and time to move forward.โ
Sancho could still be on the move this summer
Speaking to CaughtOffside, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano states that Sancho is 100% part of the team, but there could still be movement for the winger in the transfer market.
โMan United could be open to doing business and the player could also be open to the move, so it all depends on the proposals.
โNow, everything is okay, but PSG and others have been making contact with Sanchoโs agents.
โStill no bid but the situation is one to watch until the end of the window.โ
