United make Min-jae contract proposal with defender readying Old Trafford switch
Manchester United are seemingly making moves in their pursuit of Napoliβs Kim Min-jae.
Yesterday, it was confirmed that the Red Devils had held meetings over the potential transfer of the defender and were scheduling more for the coming weeks.
Now, according to a report from Calcio Mercato this morning, United have made their proposal to Min-jae, with the player ready toΒ βsay yesβ to the move.
The club have reportedly met with the playerβs agents to discuss a multi-year contract worth Β£6 million net per season.
Reds ready to activate release clause
His release clause of roughly Β£51.7 million can be activated from July 1 and is only valid until July 15. United are looking to finalise all the terms and details before that period so that when it comes, all thatβs left to do is dot the iβs and cross the tβs.
Min-jae, 26, made 45 appearances for Napoli this season and played a pivotal role in ending their 33-year wait for the Scudetto.
The defensive stalwart would provide competition and backup to Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.
