(Video) Erik ten Hag refuses to comment on the charges facing Man City
Erik ten Hag was the first Premier League manager to be asked about the charges made against Man City.
The blues have been charged by the Premier League with βnumerous breachesβ of financial rules following a four-year investigation. It is believed that the top six are pushing the leagueβs governing body to punish City by relegating them to the Championship.
Their charges cover a period of nine seasons and they are alleged to have not provided accurate financial accounts.
City intend to defend themselves in an attempt to argue they are innocent of the acquisitions made against them.
Ten Hag was asked about the charges at his pre-match press conference ahead of Unitedβs game against Leeds.
However, the Dutchman refused to comment on the charges City are facing β because he has more important matters to deal withβ¦
βNo, I donβt have an opinion because Iβm not here for financial regulations,β Ten Hag said, as quoted by the Daily Mail. βI am a football manager. I have to stick to that and others have to deal with that.β
