(Video) Ian Wright says Manchester United fans deserve takeover
The Arsenal legend has lauded Manchester Unitedβs fansβ constant pressure on the current owners of the club and hopes a takeover can be agreed.
News broke yesterday of the Glazer familyβs intentions to sell the club after a 17-year reign, for either investment or a full sale. United confirmed the news themselves via the club website.
It is reported that the Americans are demanding a fee of around Β£5 billion to transfer the ownership of one of the most successful teams in world football.
Fans are ecstatic over the news, as βanti-Glazerβ protests have been a staple at Old Trafford since they took charge.
Wright is pleased for fans
Speaking on ITV, Wright said: βIβm pleased because the fans have not stopped from the time theyβve been there, in respect to their protests. And if that does happen, you just hope a club of Man Unitedβs size β will they have any kind of fan involvement? Just to let them know whatβs going on.
“Ronaldo should have left in the summer”

βI think the fans have done brilliantly. Hopefully, it can happen for the fans, simply because theyβve wanted it from day one and it might happen, fingers crossed for the United fans.β
