(Video) Roy Keane hits out at ‘sore loser’ Mikel Arteta after Man Utd defeat

Roy Keane has become the latest to lament Mikel Arteta’s antics after the Arsenal manager oversaw defeat at Old Trafford, having also done so last season just days after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked.

Manchester United took the lead in the first half when Antony, who made his debut, finished off a neat move to score his first goal for the club.

Arsenal equalised in the second half but it proved to be a false dawn for Arteta’s men as United instantly regained control of proceedings and scored two quick-fire goals to end the Gunners’ unconvincing unbeaten streak.

Speaking after the game, Keane hit out at Arteta for being a ‘sore loser’ after seeing his side record back-to-back defeats at the Theatre of Dreams.

“He’s a sore loser.”

“Listen, I’m fed up with all of their excuses,” Keane told Football Daily after the game as he reflected on United’s fourth consecutive win in the Premier League.

“Areta gets interviewed after the game, listen, he’s a sore loser like us all. But he’s got to give a little bit of credit to Man United but he never does.

“Every time he loses a game, I listen to him. It’s about what they didn’t do properly, the officials. Stop making excuses, you lost the game 3-1, you’ve done OK, you’ve got the plaudits but give me the points any day of the week.”

United are now only three points behind Arsenal after supposedly being miles behind them in development. After the game, Ten Hag eluded that Arsenal have been with their manager for longer than United have.

On the pitch, it didn’t look like it. United were convincing and have taken a big step forward as Ten Hag continues to rebuild the club.

Arsenal were linked to Lisandro Martinez over the summer and Ten Hag was once again vindicated in his decision to go the extra mile to sign the Argentine.
