Wan-Bissaka and Varane start: Predicted Manchester United line-up to face Fulham

Our predicted Manchester United starting line-up to take on Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday. Kick-off is at 12.30pm.Β

Erik ten Hag is under increasing pressure to orchestrate a complete turnaround in form or risk losing his job by the end of the season, having overseen United’s worst start to a term in 61 years.

On paper, the Reds’ upcoming fixtures should all be nothing less than wins; Fulham, Copenhagen, Luton Town and Everton. Given recent performances though, you’d be forgiven for wondering how they can strike up the magic to dominate these teams and beat them convincingly.

Still, all United can do is tackle what’s in front of them right now, and they kick off matchweek 11 against the Cottagers in hopes of a positive start to the weekend.

As for Ten Hag’s options, he has confirmed that Raphael Varane is fully fit and will make the trip to London, however, Victor Lindelof has fallen ill and will need to be assessed closer to the game.

The club also announced on Friday that Casemiro had sustained a hamstring injury and would be out of action for several weeks.

Predicted United XI

Onana

Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Varane, Reguilon

Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned to the fold at half-time against Newcastle United on Wednesday to replace Diogo Dalot, who had been absolutely dire, so he’ll presumably start from the get-go this time out.

Varane simply has to start.

Amrabat, Eriksen

Mount, Fernandes (C), Rashford

Antony being dropped speaks for itself.

Hojlund

I’m all for being patient with Rasmus Hojlund; he’s young and has shown his prolific quality with his Champions League goals. But after seven league appearances and no contributions, you can’t blame fans for beginning to question his output.
